1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, tablet, smartphone). They enable certain functionalities, improve the user experience, and provide information about website usage.
2. Which Cookies Do We Use?
DEMENO uses two categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the Platform to work (sign-in, session management, payment), and optional analytics cookies, which are only set after you have given your consent via the cookie banner. We do not use any marketing or advertising cookies.

3. Analytics
We use PostHog (hosted on PostHog's EU Cloud in Frankfurt, Germany) to understand how DEMENO is used and to find and fix errors. How PostHog runs depends on your consent choice:
- Before you make a choice: analytics runs in cookieless mode. Basic page-view events are sent, but nothing is stored on your device and no persistent identifier is created.
- If you accept: PostHog sets the cookies and local-storage entries listed above, and additionally records product usage events and anonymized session replays to help us improve the Platform.
- If you decline: analytics is disabled and no analytics data is collected from your browser.
We may additionally use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookieless web analytics service operated from the EU. Plausible stores nothing on your device and does not create persistent identifiers.
4. Local Storage, Session Storage, and IndexedDB
In addition to cookies, we use your browser's storage (Local Storage, Session Storage, and IndexedDB) for the following purposes:
- Cookie consent: Your consent choice and its date, so we do not ask again on every visit
- User preferences: Interface settings such as theme, zoom level, panel positions, and dismissed hints
- Tab and session state: The current navigation state and board viewport within the application
- Asset library: Names, tags, and favorites of your local assets; image and 3D-model files are stored in IndexedDB on your device
- Analytics state (only after consent): PostHog stores an identifier and session information to recognize returning visits
Preference and asset-library data is stored exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to third parties. Analytics identifiers are shared only with our analytics provider, and only after you have accepted analytics cookies.
5. Consent and Changing Your Choice
Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent under Swiss law (DSG) or the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), because the service you requested cannot be provided without them. Optional analytics cookies are only set after you accept them via the cookie banner shown on your first visit.
You can withdraw or change your choice at any time by deleting the site data for demeno.app in your browser (see Section 6) — the cookie banner will then be shown again on your next visit. You can also contact us at privacy@demeno.app.
6. Managing or Deleting Cookies
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that blocking or deleting cookies may affect the functionality of our Platform, particularly sign-in and session management.
